At the Inn

There is a canoe available for launch on the Scantic River behind the Inn, and mountain bikes are provided for interested guests.

Hiking / Mountain Biking

Shenipsit State Forest is a ten-minute drive from the Inn. The Shenipsit Trail, which runs over 40 miles from East Hampton to Somers, passes through the Shenipsit State Forest and over the summit of Soapstone Mountain. Soapstone Mountain features an auto road and numerous trails that can be used for hiking, mountain biking or equestrian travel. The area is known for its varied terrain with wonderful vistas for novices and challenging terrain for experienced hikers/riders.
